28. 33 But Alma, with his guards, contended with the guards of the king of the Lamanites until he slew and drove them back.

29. 34 And it came to pass that Alma went and judged those that had been taken in iniquity, according to the aword of the Lord.

31. The words which Alma, the High Priest according to the holy order of God, delivered to the people in their cities and villages throughout the land.

32. 9 Now Satan had gotten great ahold upon the hearts of the people of the city of Ammonihah; therefore they would not hearken unto the words of Alma.

38. 1 And now, it came to pass that Alma, who had fled from the servants of king Noah, arepented of his sins and iniquities, and went about privately among the people, and began to teach the words of Abinadi—

1 और अब, ऐसा हुआ कि अलमा, जो राजा नूह के सेवकों से जान बचा कर भाग गया था, ने अपनी पापों और अपराधों के लिए पश्चाताप किया, और गुप्त रूप से लोगों के बीच गया, और अबिनादी की बातों का प्रचार करना आरंभ किया—

39. 25 Now, it came to pass that when Ammon had heard this, he returned to the people of Anti-Nephi-Lehi, and also Alma with him, into the wilderness, where they had pitched their tents, and made known unto them all these things.

25 अब, ऐसा हुआ कि जब अम्मोन ने इसे सुना तो वह अलमा के साथ निर्जन स्थान में अंती-नफी-लेही के लोगों के पास वापस गया जहां उन्होंने पड़ाव डाला था, और उन्हें इन सारी बातों की जानकारी दी ।

40. And he said unto Alma: What does this mean which Amulek hath spoken concerning the resurrection of the dead, that all shall rise from the dead, both the ajust and the unjust, and are brought to stand before God to be bjudged according to their works?

41. 17 And it came to pass that after Alma had taught the people many things, and had made an end of speaking to them, that king Limhi was desirous that he might be baptized; and all his people were desirous that they might be baptized also.

17 और ऐसा हुआ कि जब अलमा लोगों को अनेक बातों की शिक्षा दे चुका, और उनसे बोलना समाप्त किया, तो राजा लिमही इच्छुक था कि उसका बपतिस्मा किया जाए; और उसके सब लोग इच्छुक थे कि उनका भी बपतिस्मा किया जाए ।

42. 41 And Aminadab said unto them: You must arepent, and cry unto the voice, even until ye shall have bfaith in Christ, who was taught unto you by Alma, and cAmulek, and Zeezrom; and when ye shall do this, the cloud of darkness shall be removed from overshadowing you.

43. 2 And it came to pass in the nineteenth year of the reign of the judges over the people of Nephi, that Alma came unto his son Helaman and said unto him: Believest thou the words which I spake unto thee concerning those arecords which have been kept?

44. 21 Yea, and in the valley of Alma they poured out their athanks to God because he had been merciful unto them, and eased their bburdens, and had delivered them out of bondage; for they were in bondage, and none could deliver them except it were the Lord their God.

45. 1 And now it came to pass that after Alma had made an end of speaking unto the people of the church, which was established in the city of Zarahemla, he aordained bpriests and elders, by laying on his chands according to the order of God, to preside and dwatch over the church.

1 और अब ऐसा हुआ कि जब अलमा ने गिरजे के लोगों से बात करना खत्म कर दिया, जो कि जराहेमला के नगर में स्थापित था, गिरजे पर अध्यक्षता और देखभाल करने के लिए उसने परमेश्वर के तरीके से हाथों को रखने के द्वारा याजक और एल्डर नियुक्त किये ।

46. 17 Therefore, after Alma having established the church at Sidom, seeing a great acheck, yea, seeing that the people were checked as to the pride of their hearts, and began to bhumble themselves before God, and began to assemble themselves together at their csanctuaries to dworship God before the ealtar, fwatching and praying continually, that they might be delivered from Satan, and from gdeath, and from destruction—
